Year o' fic 1: Lord of the Rings; Wings Over Arda

So I've reached the end of [info]heeroluva's year o' fic. 12 ficlets or set of drabbles for a good cause, courtesy of [info]livelongnmarry. It was great fun stretching my wings *koff* and playing with both ideas not my own (as in the hyena!Xander ficlets) and pairings I had not before considered (Jayne/River).

Anyway, I wanted to end up with LotR, as I began with it 12 months ago. And then I got a rare idea for humor from my normally-angsty muse. I had to run with it. Forgive me? Also, go, me! for getting them done early this time.

Title: Wings Over Arda
Fandom: LotR
Characters: Legolas, Aragorn, Arwen, Frodo, Sam, Elrond, Gimli and the rest of the Fellowship
Rating: no higher than PG, really
Warnings: um. Silliness. Definite randi-humor (which tends to the physical or the absurd).
Summary: Into every generation... oh, wait, that's for Slayers. Each race of Middle Earth has got a secret that comes out once every generation. The Fellowship may have more than its fair share.

Year o' fic 1: LotR, No Apologies Necessary

So, as you may remember, when [info]livelongnmarry was having their auction, I offered up not one, but two years of ficlets for bid. The first year was snapped up (amazingly quickly; I was shocked!) by [info]heeroluva. This is the first of her year o' fic.

Unfortunately, I had an idea for this fic, which means the muse laughed and decided to go in a completley different direction. Not to mention that for the longest time, I had no ideas, and no words at all to put to paper.

Anyway. Onward!

Title: No Apologies Necessary
Fandom/Characters: LotR/Boromir and Faramir
Rating: PG to PG-13 (for vaguely unsettling images) (and probably over-rated, as usual)
Warnings: Nil. Or gen, depending. ^^
Notes: Inspired by the prompt "hero" from [info]heeroluva's list. Also, Faramir is about 13 or so in this; mature enough in some ways, but not in others.

So now that I've scared you all off with my recent fic at voltron yaoi, I'm going to post something else that I've only finished in the last hour. Hopefully, this isn't quite so scary... though I freely admit it's probably not my best work. That might scare you off all on its own... ^^;;;;
